September Transitions: A Fresh Start with the Right Support

ree

As September approaches, many of us see it as a new beginning. Whether you're starting high school, stepping into post-secondary life, or exploring job opportunities, the shift can bring excitement—but also uncertainty, stress, and anxiety.

A new routine, a new environment, and new expectations can feel overwhelming. You might be navigating homesickness, academic pressure, time management struggles, or social adjustments. That’s where The Grove Youth Wellness Hubs step in.

Support During the Transition

The Grove offers a range of supports for youth aged 12-26 years old across Guelph and Wellington. Whether you’re returning to a familiar routine or entering uncharted territory, The Grove provides:

  • Mental health support for anxiety, emotional challenges, and stress.

  • Tutoring and Support with academic skills like effective study habits and time management.

  • Financial literacy sessions to help with budgeting and money management.

  • Resume and job search assistance, connecting youth to local resources.

  • Social activities and drop-in programming to build friendships and reduce loneliness.

  • Peer-to-peer support from youth ambassadors who can relate and help guide you to services like employment assistance, financial aid, and tutoring.

The Grove is here not just for the start of the year—but throughout your journey in high school, college, or university.

You don’t have to navigate this season alone. Whether you're feeling the weight of a new start or just need someone to talk to, there are people and resources ready to help. Reach out. The Grove is here to walk alongside you—every step of the way.
